10 reasons to book a trip to Zaya Nurai Island right NOW!

So for any of you who haven’t heard of Zaya Nurai Island, it’s a small private island just off the coast of Abu Dhabi and a 5* resort. It’s quite exclusive and normally really expensive to stay but myconcierge.com currently have an amazing day-pass deal for 384dhs pp, which includes speed boat transfers, pool and beach access and, best of all, you get 350dhs back to spend on food and drink during your stay! What’s not to love? We decided to try it out last week and were completely blown away!

Since the weather in Abu Dhabi has cooled down a little recently, it’s the perfect time to book your trip. Here are 10 reasons to get going…

1. The welcome centre

Before you even leave Saadyiat island you can enjoy a welcome drink in the beautifully decorated welcome centre. Equipped with hanging chairs and a fully stocked champagne bar, you’ll be feeling that holiday vibe before you even set foot on the speedboat.

2. The speedboat

The trip only takes around 15 minutes but the views are beautiful and if you’re lucky like us, you might even get the boat all to yourself. Boats run every hour, the first leaves Saadyiat at 9am and the last returns from Zaya Nurai Island at 11pm, so you can really spend the entire day there. As you step off onto the island, you’re welcomed by a ‘love’ sign…which is exactly how you’ll feel about Zaya Nurai Island!

3. The views

The entire island is truly incredible. As soon as you take a little wander around you’ll be amazed by the beauty of, well, everything! From the palm trees to the sea swings, everything on the island is jaw-droppingly stunning.

4. The beaches

There are two beaches on the island and there are golf buggies to take you from one to the other. Ginger Mermaid is the first beach bar you’ll see, it boasts a large infinity pool over looking the beach and there’s also a spa centre there. It’s the perfect place to relax, sunbathe and sip a few cocktails. The views are stunning and the beach is pristine with crystal clear water.

The second is a beach club called Smokin’ Pineapple. With swings instead of bar stools, a ‘hammock jungle’, tee pees, and sea swings, you’ll be kept busy exploring the beautiful surroundings. This is also where you’ll find the water sports centre. The beach here is also immaculate and you genuinely feel like you’re in another country.

5. The staff

The staff on the island are so helpful and welcoming, without being intrusive, and they’re always smiling. Any questions we had were answered immediately and they were all super friendly.

6. The food

There are five different restaurants on the island so there’s something for everyone. We had lunch and dinner there. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. Whilst the menus are quite expensive, we managed lunch, dinner, dessert and drinks and only paid 70dhs extra when we were leaving.

7. The cocktails/mocktails

There are a huge range to choose from and you’re biggest decision of the day will be deciding which to try. I started the day off with a mocktail called ‘Mermaid’s Passion’ and it has to be the nicest drink I’ve ever had!

8. The photo ops

Whether you’re a professional photographer or just an instagram enthusiast, Zaya Nurai Island is the perfect place to capture beautiful shots. You’ll be snap happy all day and everything is worth capturing. Instagrammers make sure to take your camera because you won’t want to miss the #instaopportunities.

9. The activities

From the various treatments offered at the spa and wellness centre to the water sports, there’s no way you could be bored. There are jet skis, stand up paddle boards and kayaks to rent at the beach club. There are also bikes that you can hire to cycle around the island, although, getting driven around in the golf buggies was much easier.

10. The sunset

We had dinner while the sun went down and it was the perfect end to a wonderful day. ‘Hooked’, the seafood restaurant, is known for the best sunset views.

When we arrived back in Abu Dhabi that night, it truly felt like we’d spent a weekend away on a tropical island. It was just so relaxing and made it very easy to completely switch off.

Tips before you go:

– get there early to really make the most of your day.

– bring your camera, you’ll be sorry if you don’t.

– towels are provided everywhere you go so don’t bother bringing your own. You may want to bring your own shampoo/conditioner though to shower before dinner.

– bring some reading material, it’s  the perfect place to leave the world behind and get lost in a book.

I hope you enjoyed the post, get booking now on myconcierge.com. The offer will be available  till the end of the year. We already can’t wait to go back!

xx
